Three Ways to Ignite Your Teenager’s Passion for God

J. Warner Wallace writes, “the biggest challenge to “theism” may not actually be “atheism.” Instead, the biggest threat to the future of the Church may be ‘apatheism.’” The many Christians that are apathetic about their faith are far more dangerous to the church than any evangelistic atheist. Warner Wallace gives some good advice on how to face this problem:

  1. While I like the Idea of the article, I found it less than convincing as a help.
People simply need proof and need the Contempt confronted and exposed. People will generally consider things but a kid tuning out is an issue of attention because they hear nothing convincing and are not being taught to be thinkers.
Simply working through the issues of doubt with proofs and honesty and some experience with doubtful questions wins the day because our weapons of warfare or ability to take down bad arguments are God based and inspired and truth.
Lots of people believe and lots of Youth believe. Atheists will say no one does and it makes you doubt and think you should give up. Instead, we need to simply do the work and educate and instruct and people will trust God if we do, and do the work. The Fields are white unto harvest but if you have no field and no workers you have no harvest.
